Sichuan provides a fantastic introduction to birdwatching in China, boasting a wealth of endemic and unique species, all set against breathtaking mountainous landscapes. The vast, mountainous province offers a variety of fascinating habitats, and we will make sure to explore a diverse range of these environments in our pursuit of the region’s remarkable birdlife.
Itinerary( 5 Night/6 Days ) of Pure Wildlife Excitement

Day1
Arrival at Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu international airport and meet Sunrich Safaris representative. Drive to the hotel for check-in. The activities for the rest of the day will depend on the arrival time, and we will adjust accordingly. If the flight arrives early, we may arrange a visit to the city's parks for general birdwatching. If time permits and the group is interested, we can also arrange a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Day2
Chengdu- Wuzhi Mountain Nature Reserve
"Check out early in the morning from Chengdu and drive for 4 hours to Wuzhi Mountain, where we will stay for 2 nights. In the afternoon, we will drive to the bird feeding station for photography."

Day3
Full day bird Photography at Wuzhi Mountain
We will target species such as the Sichuan Partridge, Chinese Bamboo Partridge, Temminck’s Tragopan, Lady Amherst’s Pheasant, and Silver Pheasant, along with many other species in the wild.

Day4
Wuzhi Mountain Nature Reserve - Chengdu
On the final morning at Wuzhishan, we will have a bird photography session to capture the stunning wildlife one last time. Afterward, we will begin our journey back to Chengdu, a scenic 4-hour drive. Upon arrival in Chengdu, we will check in to the hotel for the night, allowing you some time to relax

Day5
Chengdu - Xinyang (by plane)
Take a morning flight to Xinyang, and from there, transfer to Dongzhai. After arriving, we will have the afternoon dedicated to bird photography, focusing on capturing various species in the area. A highlight of the afternoon will be a visit to the Reeve’s Pheasant hide, where we’ll have an opportunity to photograph this beautiful and elusive bird. We will then stay overnight in Dongzhai to rest and prepare for the next day's activities.

Day6
Full day bird Photography at the hides
During our hide bird photography session, we will have the opportunity to observe and capture a variety of species, including the stunning Reeve’s Pheasant, the rare Crested Ibis, and the Collared Crow. Other species we may encounter include the Yellow-bellied Tit, Silver-throated Tit, Yellow-browed Bunting, Crested Kingfisher, and more. After a fulfilling day of birdwatching, we will return to the guesthouse.

Day7
Xinyang - Quanshui wan
On the final morning, we will have one last opportunity to photograph the Reeve’s Pheasant before continuing our journey. Afterward, we will drive to Quanshuiwan in the afternoon, a scenic 4-hour drive, where we can unwind and prepare for the next day's activities.

Day08 & 09
Full day bird Photography at Quanshui Wan
We will stay in Quanshuiwan for 2 days dedicated to bird photography. The primary targets here are the Golden Pheasant and Koklass Pheasant, but we may also encounter other species such as the Chukar, the elusive Chinese Thrush, Masked Laughingthrush, Black Stork, and Yellow-throated Bunting, among others.

Day10
Departure
After our bird photography adventure, we will drive to Zhengzhou, a 2.5-hour journey, for your departure. From Zhengzhou Airport, you will connect with your international flight back home. As the tour concludes, we hope you carry with you enticing memories of stunning birds, breathtaking landscapes, and unique experiences.

- Enjoy safaris in only the premium zones where currently at least 7 tigresses are raising their litters. This makes for ample photo opportunities and some thrilling tiger tracking.

- Schedule of activities mentioned in itinerary is subject to change as per availability.
- Package cost is based on base category of the room. In case of unavailability of same category, additional charges may apply.
Note
- To book a safari package, we will require full name of each traveler who will take the safaris, Proof of Identity (Passport) which is mandatory.
- Please note that activities, once booked and confirmed cannot be cancelled or amended and are 100% non-refundable.
- Taxes applied are based on prevailing rates. Any upward fluctuation / changes will be charged accordingly.
- All services including accommodation are subject to availability. In the event of unavailability of quoted services & accommodation, we reserve the right to offer alternatives in the same category.
Booking Procedures
A 100% advance payment is required at the time of booking. Indian nationals must present any one of the following government-recognized identity cards: Aadhaar, PAN card, driver's license, OCI, passport, voter ID, government employee ID, or school/college ID.
For non Indian nationals, only Passport is allowed. IDs should be emailed to safari@sunrichsafaris.com or, alternatively, sent on WhatsApp at +91 98330 11113/16.
Cancellations
- If cancellation is communicated 10 days (or less) before departure OR No Show - No Refund.
- If cancellation is communicated 11 to 20 days before departure - 20% of tour cost will be refunded.
- If cancellation is communicated 21 to 30 days before departure - 30% of tour cost will be refunded.
- If cancellation is communicated 31 to 60 days before departure - 50% of tour cost will be refunded.
